We were driving down the east coast, going from Boston back home to North Carolina, when we stumbled upon Crisfield, Maryland. The town has appropriately been dubbed the “Crab Capital of the World” and the “Heart of the Chesapeake”. In our short stop there we clearly saw the reasoning behind both of the nicknames. The crab, and all the other seafood we sampled, was just plucked out of the ocean and put on our plates. It was succulent, fresh, and at the time seemed to be life changing. “We could just stay here forever and eat this crab,” my husband remarked to me as he dug in for another bite. As we looked over the sun setting on the Chesapeake Bay, we pretended we really could for a little while. The Crisfield Bookshelf is handcrafted from the finest plantation grown mahogany.
